Is there a cupboard beside the opening, or a narrow hallway beyond it? With a hinged door, you choose which way it opens. Check that it can swing freely on that side.

Ask us a questionAlways view the door from the pull side, where you pull it towards you. If the hinges or pivot point are on your left, choose left-handed. If they are on your right, choose right-handed. A pivot door can also open in the opposite direction.
A pivot door needs a fixing below the door. Check where the pipes run and whether the fixing is possible before choosing. Ask your installer if unsure. Do not drill into a heated floor without checking first.
